A week of COUPONING!

This week has been a very successful week of couponing :) I'm proud to say I've saved so much money! And I'm pretty excited that my stockpile is growing!

I started out going to Publix a couple days ago. They were having some pretty good b1g1 sales, and I had coupons to go with the sales.

My next store was Target, I heard that target takes off 7.99 off the b1g1 BIC razors coupons, leaving you with overage, so I had to check that out. Plus I had pull ups coupons that were going to expire soon that I needed to use, and while I was there I found a coupon holder for my shopping trips so I can file them by each store when I'm going out for each haul.

My next store that day was Dollar Tree. I love this store because everything is a dollar, which means if you have coupons you get a lot for less. I have gained a good amount of Hefty Bags for really cheap!

I wanted to use the rest of my hefty bag coupons, and I was in luck the store stocked up on their bags. I got 10 boxes of 15 ct bags.

Today I had plenty of stores to go to, especially because I got some awesome coupons in the mail and I wanted to use them!

I first stopped by dollar tree to get some toothbrushes, I had 10 coupons. They probably thought I was insane. Because the classic Colgate toothbrush pack had 2 in them, I got even more ;)

Some deals on Thursday :)

So I went out to get some things that were on sale at Winn-Dixie this week.

We definatly needed frozen chicken for dinners. And they were b1g1 ($10.99 for 2)

They were also having a sale on finish dish washing tabs. They are 7.99 but they were b1g1 free this week. So I got 2 for 7.99. I also had two $2.15 off coupons. making my total for 50 (25 in each box) tablets $3.69  ($1.84 each box!) That's a savings of 76% after sales and coupons!
They also had a sale on lysol disinfecting wipes. They were b1g1 free. So two for 2.99. I also had a .50 cents off 2 coupon. Making them 2.49, or about 1.25 each container. That's a 58% savings after sales and coupons.

Winndixie also had a b1g1 free sale on Dole Salad Bags. They were originally 3.79 each. I also got a 1.00 off each bag coupon from a blinkie machine. So I got 2 bags of salad for 1.79, or about .89 cents each!! That's a 76% savings after coupons and store sales.
After check out they gave me my recipt and I accumulated .25 cents off 20 gallons of gas, I only had .10 cents last time I went to the store. I don't exactly know how that happened, but I was pretty excited because I am going to need gas in my car soon! :)

My First Big Couponing Haul!

I was pretty excited this week because of the b1g1 free offer from stayfree and cvs! I couldn't wait to get a bunch of items for free!

If you are a couponer, and a women then you know about the stay-free b1g1 offer at cvs!! It's a great deal. You can get free stay-free products, completely free, just pay the tax! This was my first stop of the day in my 3 store couponing trip. I was excited because I knew I was going to get them for free. I had 4 b1g1 stay-free coupons, because I got 4 papers on Sunday  I wish I would have got more now that I know they had a great sale! (but last night I ordered 8 more coupons from http://www.couponsthingsbydede.com/ I hope I get them before the sale ends Saturday night, more free stuff!) The coupon states that the stay-free products have to be under 4.99 and until I got to the register I didn't realize that, I in fact brought all the wrong products to the register, thankfully there was no one in the store. So I had to go back and get the right products. So I picked up 8 stay-free products. They also had a b1g1 sale on Disney Gummy Vitamins, and I need these for my son so I got 2. They were originally 7.99 but I had 2 1.00 off coupons (1 for each product I was getting since they were b1g1) and a cvs coupon for 1.00 off. Making them 4.99 for 2! They have 60 gummies in each, so that's approximately a 4 month supply for 4.99. I also had a 2 dollar off 2 tresemme products I got from the cvs coupon machine, which I used on 2 trial size conditioners (they were out of shampoo)
  • 8 stay-free products
  • 2 Disney Vitamin Gummies (60 ct each)
  • 2 trial size tresemme conditioners
  • Total OOP at CVS: $6.29
  • Total Savings: 76%

My next store was Walgreens. I knew this wasn't going to be as big as a haul, I needed most of the stuff I was getting, but I tried to save as much as I could. I purchased 2 Edge Shave Gels they were b1g1 50% off. So the first one was 2.99 and the second was 1.49. I also had a coupon for 1.50 off 2. Which brought them to 2.99 or 1.50 each. Then I had a coupon for b1g1 free BIC razors. I found 4 BIC razors on clearance for 2.39. Then I used to the b1g1 free coupon for I got 2 four pack BIC razors for 2.39, 1.19 each. Next I needed canned ham for a dinner entree, they were on sale for 2.50, also Hellmanns mayo was on sale for 2.99 with a Walgreens coupon. I got 2 charms super blow pops for .14 cents each on clearance. Reynolds wrap was on sale with a Walgreens coupon for 2.99, and I also had a .55 cent coupon, making it 2.44 for 70 square foot. The next item I got was goody's ouchless hair ties. They were on sale for 2.99. I had a .50 cent coupon, and I got $2 register rewards back. That I used on my next transaction.

The last stop on my trip on Monday was at Harris Teeter. I definatly wanted to take a trip out there this week because they were having a super savings sale and they were doubling coupons up to 2.00. Their reciepts are all messed up. So I will just state what items I bought and how much I saved with coupons. Or if I remember how much I paid for the item.
I got lysol toliet bowl cleaner they were on sale with my VIC card 2 for 3.98. And I had a .50 cent off coupon that doubled to 1.00. So I paid 2.98 for 2, or 1.49 each.
I got Purex Laundry Detergant they were orgionally 5.99 each, but with my VIC card I got them for 2.97 each. But I also had a 1.00 off coupon. And it doubled to 2.00. So I got the limit of 2 Purex detergants for .97 cents each.
I had the b1g1 free coupon for Beggin strips dog treats. They were originally 3.99 but they were b1g1 free at the store. And I also had a b1g1 free coupon, which made them all 50% off. I could only use 3 like coupons, so we got 6 bags for 8.00.
I also had 2 coupons for free party mix cat treats. So I got those 2 bags for free.
I had a coupon for Carbona Carpet Cleaner. It was 5.89, but I had a 2.00 coupon that doubled to 4.00. So I paid $1.89.
They were also having a sale on bagels, which we needed. They were b1g1 free. So I paid 4.49 for 2 thomas bagels.
In total on my receipt my coupons saved me 44.85!!
  • 2 Lysol Toliet Bowl cleaners
  • 2 Purex detergent
  • 6 beggin strips
  • 2 cat treats
  • Carper cleaner
  • 2 Thomas bagels
  • Total OOP: $19.59
  • Total Savings: 62%

I took another trip back to Harris Teeter today to see if I could get 2 more laundry detergents  and 2 more beggin strips. But the manager told me that only 2 Purex per household. When we check out and the manager was helping us he would only take 50% off of the beggin strips because they were already on sale for b1g1 (even though we already got them yesterday, but I wasn't going to argue with the manager) I got 1 bottle of baby shampoo. It was on sale for 2.50, but I had a 1.00 off coupon that doubled to 2.00, so I only paid .50 cents for the shampoo. I also needed baby wipes. I had a .50 cent coupon off pampers wipes that doubled to 1.00. They were 2.89, so I paid 1.89 for the wipes.

Couponing on December 23nd and 24th.

So I had a little shopping adventures a couple days before Christmas. I feel like it was my first official couponing trip. Everything I bought I had a coupon for :) and I was very proud of myself for walking out of the store without anything more than I planned to buy. But it was also satisfying knowing I saved a bunch of money.

The first store I visited was Winndixie. I knew I needed to get butter because we were running low. And they had it onsale for $1.99, and when I got to the store I was surprised that it was the HUGE tub of country crock. So it was an even bigger deal than I originally anticipated. Since I've been cooking more, I've been using more butter. I also had a .35 cents off coupon. Which make my butter 1.64. I also had a coupon for a free IZZE 4 pack of flavored carbonated water. Which was 4.99. So I got that completely for free. My total before coupons was $7.33. After tax my total was $1.99. A total savings of 79%.

Next I made my way over to Walmart, and this probably wasn't the best idea before Christmas because it was jammed packed. But I needed a couple of things that I had coupons for. I needed to get braydens pedisure-clear juice. I had a 3.00 off coupon for it making it 1.98. I also had a coupon for enfagrow toddler milk I wanted to try. It was 6.47 and I had a 5.00 off coupon making it 1.47 and it also had a 2.00 off peelie on it that I was able to use, so it was a .53 cent money maker. I also picked up some more reach floss that I had a 1.00 off coupon for making it a .03 cent money maker. I also had a 1.00 off coupon for beech nut fruitables, they were .98 cents making that a .02 cent money maker. I also got some playtex, they were 3.97, and I had a 1.00 off coupon. My total before coupon was $17.37, and after coupons was $4.72, a savings of 79%!

I ran to Harris Teeter while I was on the island on December 24th, because I knew they had great sales going on. And I especially love this store because they accept double coupons!! Which means you save double. So I had a specific plan about what I was going to get. They had a e-vic sale on frozen green giant boxed vegetables for 77 cents. So I got 6 of them. They also had a sale on cookie mix. And I had a coupon. Then I got 6 cream of chicken soups, they had a sale, and I had a coupon. Breakstone's sour cream was on sale for 99 cents. I had a coupon for 50 cents off 1, so they doubled for 1.00. I had 2 coupons, so I got 2 free sour creams. The last item I needed was toliet paper. 12 pack Angel soft double rolls were on sale for 5.99, and I had a $1.00 off coupon. My total before coupons, and e-vic coupons/sales was $30.67, and after coupons my total came to $14.07 oop. A total savings of 54%. I would have had a better breakdown of coupons and sales, but I waited so long to write this blog, that I forgot which coupons I used and which ones doubled for what item.
